The IMESA Conference & Exhibition is a focused municipal engineering platform grounded in the realities of infrastructure planning, service delivery and asset management within Southern Africa.
The programme is built on practical case studies, applied engineering insight and regulatory context, ensuring that discussions are directly relevant to the challenges faced by municipalities and practitioners in the field.
Delegates engage with peers, decision-makers and technical specialists who are actively involved in shaping infrastructure outcomes, creating an environment where knowledge exchange is both credible and immediately applicable.
Participation is not passive, it is an opportunity to engage with work that reflects the standards, constraints and responsibilities of the profession.

Ladepa stands for Latrine Dehydration and Pasteurization.
The plant has been designed by a company called PES in conjunction with eThekwini Municipality and is currently being trailed by eThekwini in conjunction with Water Research Commission (WRC) for the treatment of VIP’s and UD pit latrine sludges.
This process converts pit sludges into a pathogen free fertilizer.
It is hoped by WRC to roll this out throughout SA.
