The IMESA/CESA Excellence Awards are biennial awards that recognize outstanding achievements in municipal infrastructure. The awards are presented by the Institute of Municipal Engineering of Southern Africa (IMESA) and Consulting Engineers South Africa (CESA). The awards recognize contributions, performance, and achievements in various fields.
The IMESA / CESA Excellence Awards The awards are presented by the Institute of Municipal Engineering of Southern Africa (IMESA) and Consulting Engineers South Africa (CESA). are biennial awards that recognize outstanding achievements in municipal infrastructure. The awards recognize contributions, performance, and achievements in various fields.
IMESA and CESA have pleasure in inviting local, provincial and government or semi-government authorities and/or their engineering consultants to submit entries for the 2025 IMESA/CESA EXCELLENCE AWARDS. There is NO CHARGE to enter.
Projects may only be entered into ONE of the following categories:
E.g. Projects demonstrating engineering science, use of alternate materials, innovative construction processes, etc
E.g. Projects demonstrating labour intensive construction, skills development, community awareness/participation, etc
E.g. Environmental rehabilitation, renewable energy, drought solutions, coastal initiatives for rising sea levels, pollution control, educational /technical initiatives, etc
Entries should showcase projects which demonstrate the best of civil engineering as a science and how engineering enhances the lives of the local communities, through excellence in:
- Planning & Design
- Construction Methods
- Innovation & originality
- Meeting Social & Technical Challenges
- Contributing to the wellbeing of communities
